Piazza del Popolo is the majestic medieval heart of Todi. Enclosed by grand 13th-century civic palaces including the Palazzo del Popolo, Palazzo del Capitano, and Palazzo dei Priori, it faces the striking elevated staircase of the Duomo dell'Annunziata. Built over ancient Roman cisterns, this perfectly preserved stone-paved square stands as one of Italy’s most spectacular examples of medieval urban architecture.
